Belgium Guide Part 1: Antwerp

Belgium Guide Part 1: Antwerp

Living in Europe, allows you to do a lot of this 3 or 4 days trip. Luckily we get to visit little towns or return to the ones that we like the most.

In this post, I want to write about out Belgium experience. We were living in Barcelona at the moment we made this trip, and the only airport that had direct flights was Brussels. Everyone was telling us “Don’t go to Brussels, is Europe’s ugly cousin”. but I really wanted to go to Antwerp and Brugges, so we decided to go and use it as “base” and travel to the other cities from there. We choose a “nice” place by Airbnb that was close to the Main train station, and out Belgium tour began.

Fashion world made me want to know this city. So we went, and we didn’t regret it! It is a beautiful city, with an amazing Train Station, so when you get there you can stop looking around.

Is really small, we walked everywhere, and fashion surrounding me. We visit the museum of fashion (my poor husband, he came with me), the libraries, the concept stores, the stores! there is a lot of money in Antwerp and you can see that on the street.

Places you should visit:
– Antwerp City Hall
– Cathedral of Our Lady
– Gordon Matta-Clark Foundation
– Graanmarkt 13
– Great Market Square
– Het Steen
– ModeMuseum Provincie Antwerpen
– Plantin-Moretus Museum
