Last summer I got the chance to go to Croatia, we got 3 days so we choose Dubrovnik. The city is absolutely amazing, you really feel in Game of thrones. Here you have a small guide to go around the city.
- Ancient City Walls: here is the old part of the city, the part that is surrounded by walls, you will be here almost half of the day, walking around it.
- Old Town.
- Island of Lokrum: go for a day, is a beautiful, quiet and peaceful place. You just have to take the little boats that take you there, is not expensive.
- Stradun (street).
- The Large Onofrio’s Fountain.
- St Blaise’s Church.
As you see is not much, but is worth it. I`ll return to Croatia, i want to see more of this awesome country. I really think summer is the best time to go there, the weather will let you enjoy the beach and the islands. If you have more time, is a nice trip to rent a car and go all the way to Zagreb by the coast.
We stayed in a lovely hotel but it was a little bit far from the old town, I will recommended to stay there or the area around, to have access to everything walking distance. Accommodation can we a little expensive.
To move around, you only have buses, and as it is a small island, they go around doing like circles, so you will stay on them forever. You have taxi also.
As for the food, as a vegetarian was a little bit hard to get something to eat, but I found a few places in Old Town.
Thanks for reading 🙂
